Rajesh Goenka Kolkata, Axiom Estates

Rajesh Goenka is a London based entrepreneur and businessman, and is well known 

in the UK, Indian and International business circles.  

A chemical engineering graduate from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay (1980), he started his career in a family industrial venture in Saudi Arabia in 1981. In the early 90s  he  ventured out and set up a business  in  the  CIS  (Russia,  Ukraine  and  Kazakhstan)  in  the area of turnkey project supply and execution in the packaging and processing industry.  This venture went on to become a leader in its business segment having handled a large  number of contracts in different parts of CIS. Rajesh made a successful exit from this venture 

in 2003 by selling it at a profitable valuation.  

In 2001, Rajesh also set up a steel handling and distribution network headquartered in Dubai 

for  the  Middle  East  and  CIS  markets.  

This was a successful venture and the distribution network was bought out by Principal in  2006  when  the  company  decided  to  pursue  the  policy  of  owning  all  their  distribution networks giving Rajesh a profitable exit.  

Rajesh  forayed  into  Indian  Real  Estate  development  in  2006  and  set  up  Urban Infra Nirmaan (UIN). 

UIN invested in Palolem Hills project in 2009‐10 and bought out Eclectic, the land holding 

SPV  from  the  previous  owners.  Apart  from  Palolem  Hills  at  Goa,  UIN  also  undertook  a  major  project  ‐  Mayavan,  a  140  acre  residential  resort  in  Vrindavan  near  Delhi.  As  this  became  a  larger  project  progressively,  UIN  brought  in  other  partners  namely  Infinity Group, Poddar Heritage and the recently inducted Zuari Group, all of are well known, highly respected and trusted Groups. 

The  other  project  conceived  and  implemented  by  UIN  is  Zuari  Garden  City,  a  75  acre 

integrated township in Mysore. This project is well progressed with first phase comprising  250  villas  sold  and  to  be  delivered  by  December  2013.  UIN is the Development Manager for the project.

Besides India, Rajesh is active internationally, and in the UK, in technology sector, including platofrm and app development, digital marketing and a range of related areas.
